For now, this page displays my professional and academic
interests. Follow the links to descriptions of my research
projects, professional organizations, and major meetings of
medievalists. I'm still working on getting the links up and
running. It shouldn't take long.
- My book project - I am revising work done for my
dissertation in order to complete a book. Click the
link for a brief abstract.
- The AHA - The American Historical Association is
the main professional organization for historians in the
United States.
- The Medieval Academy of America - For
medievalists of all kinds--those in history, literature, art
history, philosophy, etc.--the MAA is the primary academic
society. Its annual meeting gives academic
medievalists a chance to share research and teaching ideas,
to meet old friends, and to make new ones.
- "The Zoo" -
No, not animals, but
medievalists. It's real name is the International
Congress on Medieval Studies, hosted every year by Western
Michigan University in Kalamazoo. I hope you get the
nickname by now. The Congress is the largest annual
gathering of medievalists in all fields, featuring
approximately 600 panels, over 1000 speakers,
and at least that many
more people simply attending.
- The MMHC -
Short for Midwest Medieval
History Conference, the MMHC is a major, regional conference
on medieval history held every fall.
