Alice curricular unit (designed for
5th graders)* based on Alice,
freely downloadable software from Carnegie Mellon University, originally
developed at the University of Virginia Alice is a graphical tool that
allows students to build simple animation scenes. The interface allows
for click and drag construction of animations and/or typed instructions (in
object-oriented format). Students can mix and match both approaches. Tutorial
in MS Word format (utilizing Alice's tutorial) Assignment
in MS Word format to create a graphical animation and a story that explains
what's going on DrScheme curricular unit (designed for
6th graders)* Based on DrScheme,
a freely downloadable development environment for the Scheme language. Tutorial in MS Word format (under
