Kathy teaches the ceramics courses at Lycoming College, and she taught pottery-making at Bucknell University. She is a member of The Potters Council of the American Ceramic Society and The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.
Kathy uses strong natural shapes colored by warm earthy glazes. Her style is to work with the clay so each piece has its own character and appeal. She prefers subtle designs whose beauty and value will grow over time.
Kathy enjoys making functional pottery that people can use, touch and enjoy every day. She also makes larger exhibition pieces, including ceramic sculptures, face vases and contemporary clay art forms.
